Our client, a global transportation company, is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor. This position is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the loading dock and warehouse. The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing drivers, managing the loading and unloading process, and ensuring that shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. This role requires strong leadership skills, acute attention to detail, and the ability to maintain high levels of safety and compliance.

Warehouse Supervisor Responsibilities:
  • Lead, monitor, and provide guidance to facility staff to enhance performance, manage operating costs, and boost productivity
  • Oversee the loading and dock activity to ensure a smooth flow of operation
  • Manage paperwork processing and ensure timely transmission of data to relevant internal parties
  • Oversee Maintenance and operations of trucks and trailers. Ensure all equipment is in good working order
  • Establish and enforce policies and procedures while tracking facility performance metrics, including incident logs, service failures, and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures
  • Maintain the cleanliness, upkeep, and functionality of the facility and its equipment
  • Assist customers, carriers, and contractors as needed within the facility
  • Maintain clear effective communication with all team members, including drivers, dock workers, and management
  • Report all dock activities in a daily report including any concerns and room for improvement

Warehouse Supervisor Requirements:
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in warehousing or logistics
  • Self-starter with excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
