This role is a long-term contract opportunity with the potential to extend or convert to an FTE and is operating under the hybrid work model with 3 days a week on-site in San Ramon, CA.
Sr. Cloud Engineer Responsibilities:
- Develop new CI/CD Pipelines to deploy in the cloud and build on-prem and hybrid-cloud solutions
- Deploy Microservices to the cloud
- Create modules with Terraform (and other IaC Tools) to deploy into Cloud Infrastructure
- Create, build and secure scalable/enterprise-grade platform services
- Document and communicate the architecture and implementation solutions
Sr. Cloud Engineer Requirements:
- 3-5+ years of experience creating CI/CD Pipelines (Ideally within GitOps – i.e., GitHub, GitLab, and Jenkins)
- 3-5+ years of experience creating resources with GCP, AWS, and/or Azure with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform (or similar tools, i.e., Ansible)
- 3-5+ years of experience in Scripting (Python, Java, Shell, and/or PowerShell)
- Expert level knowledge of Kubernetes: GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine) and/or AWS EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service)
- Possess expert-level knowledge of the “Helm Stack” and the capability to create Helm Files, from scratch
- Well-rounded experience in Linux-based environments and the ability to perform command-line scripting with Linux-based languages
