LaSalle Network has partnered with our client, a global leader in providing sustainable solutions for waste management and recycling challenges, to bring on a Senior Procurement Buyer. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in direct procurement, with a focus on purchase order management, supplier relations, and inventory optimization.
Senior Procurement Buyer Responsibilities:
- Lead the generation and management of purchase orders, adhering to organizational policies and procedures
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to finalize order specifications, quantities, and delivery timelines
- Keep abreast of market trends, industry developments, and emerging technologies within the procurement space
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential new suppliers and evaluate their competitiveness
- Drive cost-saving initiatives while upholding quality standards across procurement processes
- Continuously assess existing contracts and agreements for opportunities to reduce costs
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions
- Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure contract compliance and mitigate risks
- Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments such as operations, finance, and project management to align procurement activities with overarching business objectives
- Develop and implement supplier performance metrics for ongoing assessment and monitoring
- Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and take corrective actions as necessary
- Identify and proactively mitigate potential risks in the supply chain, including disruptions, quality issues, and geopolitical factors
Senior Procurement Buyer Requirements:
- 3+ years of proven experience in procurement roles, with a focus on indirect procurement
- Proficiency in utilizing Coupa or similar procurement software is highly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in business, purchasing, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred
