Our client is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to spearhead their commercial sales efforts. This role will focus on nurturing relationships with key stakeholders in the commercial sector, identifying bid opportunities and driving sales growth. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with our client’s design team to ensure seamless project execution from proposal to completion.

Business Development Manager Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate and maintain partnerships with developers, builders, interior design firms and remodel companies
  • Identify and pursue bid and proposal opportunities to increase commercial sales
  • Track and manage sales leads, setting and achieving ambitious sales targets
  • Work closely with the design team to develop competitive proposals aligned with client needs
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to penetrate new markets and strengthen existing relationships
  • Conduct industry research to inform strategic decisions and identify new business opportunities
  • Maintain detailed records of sales activities and closed deals to inform business strategies
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or related field, Master’s degree advantageous
  • 5+ years of experience in business development or sales within the building, design or home improvement industries
  • Strong understanding of commercial sales processes and bid protocols
  • Exceptional networking, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical abilities
