IT Onboarding & Infrastructure Support Specialist (Contract)

LaSalle Network is partnering with a leading reseller of IT solutions and services to help them hire an experienced IT Onboarding & Infrastructure Support Specialist to join their team.

Location: Austin, Texas (On-site 5x a week)
Compensation: $40.00/hr-$45.00/hr
Duration: 3–6 Month Contract
Schedule: Monday – Friday, Standard Business Hours (Central Time)

Overview
We are seeking a mid-level IT Onboarding & Infrastructure Support Specialist to support a customer environment in Austin, Texas. This role is critical to delivering a high-quality, white-glove onboarding experience for new employees while also supporting hands-on data center and infrastructure activities.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and technically capable, with experience in user provisioning, identity and access management, and physical infrastructure support.
Key Responsibilities

Employee Onboarding & White-Glove Support
  • Deliver a white-glove onboarding experience for new hires, ensuring all technology is provisioned, configured, and ready on day one
  • Provision and configure laptops and/or desktop systems using Microsoft-based environments
  • Create and manage user accounts within Active Directory/Microsoft Entra ID, including:
    • Email provisioning (Microsoft 365 / Exchange)
    • Access to required applications and systems
  • Coordinate and verify ID provisioning and onboarding readiness
  • Serve as a point of contact for new employees, ensuring a smooth and professional onboarding experience

Access Management & User Enablement
  • Process and fulfill access and entitlement requests using established workflows and documentation
  • Ensure all access provisioning aligns with security policies and least-privilege principles
  • Troubleshoot and resolve access-related issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain accurate records of provisioning activities and changes

Data Center & Infrastructure Support
  • Perform rack and stack of servers and infrastructure components
  • Install and manage network and power cabling in accordance with standards
  • Assist with physical deployment, labeling, and organization of equipment in the data center
  • Support infrastructure-related tasks as needed to maintain operational readiness

Required Qualifications
  • 4–7 years of experience in IT support, provisioning, or infrastructure roles
  • Strong experience with:
    • Active Directory and/or Microsoft Entra ID
    • Microsoft 365 (Exchange, user provisioning, access management)
  • Experience delivering white-glove or high-touch end-user support
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Laptop/desktop provisioning and configuration
    • Data center environments (rack & stack, cabling)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fully on-site environment

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with endpoint management tools (e.g., Microsoft Intune, SCCM)
  • Familiarity with ITSM/ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow or similar)
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts and infrastructure environments
  • Relevant certifications such as:
    • Microsoft certifications (e.g., M365, Azure/Entra)
    • CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar
