• Work Model: Hybrid (three days onsite in downtown Chicago, two days remote)

LaSalle Network is hiring for a Senior Accountant to join a growing organization headquartered in downtown Chicago. This Senior Accountant will play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting while partnering across the business to support operational and strategic initiatives. What's the Job?

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting

• Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation for monthly, quarterly and annual close processes

• Perform account reconciliations for assigned balance sheet and control accounts

• Prepare and maintain schedules for fixed assets, prepaid expenses, accruals and other key accounting areas

• Review account activity, investigate variances and provide recommendations for resolution

• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed

• Support the preparation of monthly financial reporting packages and management reporting

• Collaborate with finance, operations, HR, procurement and external advisors to ensure accurate reporting

• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting accuracy and operational efficiencies

• Support audits and other accounting-related projects as assigned

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

• Three or more years of progressive accounting experience

• Strong general ledger, account reconciliation and month-end close experience

• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas and data analysis

• Experience working within ERP or accounting systems

• Microsoft Dynamics experience preferred

• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a collaborative environment

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
