Senior Accounts Payable Analyst (Contract)
Overview
Paylocity’s Accounting Operations team is adding support during a period of transition. This is a 90-day contract assignment to start, with potential for extension and conversion, for a proactive Accounts Payable professional who can jump in quickly, own processes end-to-end, and help keep a high-volume invoice environment running smoothly.
This team operates in a lean, “all hands on deck” environment with limited training capacity—ideal for someone who’s resourceful, self-sufficient, and comfortable figuring things out and driving work to completion.
Work schedule: 8:00am–5:00pm CST
Location: Fully remote (candidates cannot be located in CA, WA, or OR)
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

-
Process invoices end-to-end, including GL coding, troubleshooting exceptions, and resolving complex issues independently
-
Prepare, post, and reconcile accrual journal entries and support AP-related close responsibilities

Ensure AP activity makes sense within the general ledger, and help close entries owned by the AP function
-
Partner cross-functionally and communicate clearly with stakeholders while the team scales and adjusts
-
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and streamline workflows, especially within Coupa processes
-
Use Excel to manage and analyze large datasets, identify duplicates/exceptions, and support reporting needs
Must-Have Qualifications
-
Strong experience with journal entries and accruals (preparing, posting, reconciling)
