LaSalle Network is hiring for an Accounts Receivable Specialist I to join a fast-paced team in Lisle, Illinois. This Accounts Receivable Specialist I will focus on cash application, payment reconciliation and customer account management while partnering with Billing, Sales and Collections. If you have experience applying cash, resolving payment discrepancies and working in an ERP system, this could be a great opportunity to put your accounting skills to work.
What's the Job?

Accurately apply daily cash receipts, including checks, ACH, wire transfers and Square payments, to customer accounts

Reconcile payment discrepancies and resolve unapplied or misapplied cash
-
Monitor unapplied cash and unidentified payment reports
-
Partner with Billing and operational teams to ensure invoices are accurate and delivered to the correct customers

Work with customers and third-party processing agents to resolve past-due invoices
-
Investigate short payments and communicate balance-due invoices to customers

Respond to inquiries from the Collections team

Provide customers with banking and payment information

Maintain knowledge of EDI orders, ASNs, invoices and customer payment portals

Assist with additional AR and accounting projects as needed
What's Needed?

High school diploma or equivalent
-
One or more years of cash application, accounts receivable, banking, auditing or collections experience
-
Experience with Great Plains, SAP or Oracle within the past two years
-
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
-
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
-
Excellent written and verbal communication
-
Customer-focused approach with strong problem-solving skills
-
Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
