LaSalle Network is partnering with a Chicago-based global engineering services firm undergoing a pivotal period of transformation to identify its next Chief Human Resources Officer.

This newly created executive leadership position offers a rare opportunity to architect and modernize the people strategy for a complex, multi-site business with international operations. Reporting directly to executive leadership, the CHRO will serve as a key advisor and change agent, helping shape the organization's future through talent, culture, leadership development, and operational excellence.

This is an ideal opportunity for an HR executive who thrives in builder environments, enjoys creating structure where little exists, and wants to leave a lasting impact on a business entering its next phase of growth and evolution.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Design and execute an enterprise-wide people strategy aligned to long-term business objectives

  • Build and modernize the HR function, including processes, systems, governance, and organizational structure

  • Transform talent acquisition capabilities and establish a proactive workforce planning strategy

  • Lead HR technology modernization efforts, including implementation and optimization of HRIS and talent platforms

  • Develop scalable leadership development, succession planning, and talent management programs

  • Establish performance management frameworks that drive accountability, coaching, and organizational effectiveness

  • Evaluate and redesign compensation and total rewards programs to improve competitiveness and internal equity

  • Standardize compliance, training, and employee programs across multiple domestic and international locations

  • Partner closely with executive leadership and ownership on organizational design, change management, and long-term succession planning

What We're Looking For:

  • Significant experience within industrial, manufacturing, engineering, OEM, or related operational environments

  • Demonstrated success building, rebuilding, or transforming HR functions and infrastructure

  • Experience leading HR strategy across multi-site and global organizations

  • Strong change management capabilities with the ability to influence long-tenured leadership teams and employee populations

  • Deep expertise across talent acquisition, organizational development, compensation, employee relations, HR technology, compliance, and leadership development

  • Experience supporting Lean manufacturing or operational excellence environments preferred

  • Executive presence combined with a roll-up-your-sleeves leadership style

Why This Role Stands Out:

  • Opportunity to build the people function rather than simply maintain it

  • Direct partnership with senior leadership and ownership on strategic business initiatives

  • Global scope with the ability to impact culture, talent, and organizational effectiveness across multiple regions

  • Significant autonomy and decision-making authority

  • Competitive executive compensation package, including base salary targeted between $230,000-$270,000 plus incentive opportunity

  • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision and PTO

  • Opportunity to shape the future of a well-established organization during a critical transformation period

For HR leaders who are energized by building, influencing, and leading meaningful organizational change, this represents a unique opportunity to create lasting impact at the executive level.
