This role will support strategic recruiting initiatives, with a focus on building a bench of data migration professionals for potential conversion as needed. Data Migration Analyst Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute data migration projects, ensuring accurate and timely transfer of data from legacy systems to Salesforce
- Utilize SQL and Excel for data manipulation, data cleaning and transformation
- Develop and maintain data models, entity-relationship diagrams (ERDs), and relational database designs to support data migration efforts
- Create and optimize complex formulas in Excel for data analysis and reporting
- Handle CSV files and perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) using tools such as Salesforce Data Loader, Informatica, SSIS and MuleSoft
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure successful data migration
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing any issues or questions related to data migration
- Ensure data integrity and quality throughout the migration process
Data Migration Analyst Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst, Database Administrator (DBA) or similar role, with a focus on data migration
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Excel, including advanced data manipulation and formula creation
- Solid understanding of data modeling and entity-relationship diagrams (ERDs)
- Experience with relational databases and handling legacy data systems
- Familiarity with CSV files and Salesforce Data Loader for data migration
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical details to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, go-getter attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a client-facing approach
- Experience with Salesforce, including data migration and Salesforce Data Loader preferred
- Knowledge of ETL tools such as Informatica, SSIS, and MuleSoft preferred
- Experience with SSRS for reporting and data visualization preferred
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Technical acumen with attention to detail
- Proactive, self-motivated and able to ask the right questions to ensure successful project outcomes
