We are working with a well-known consumer goods company who has become a global leader in the Smart Home Industry! As they continue to expand their operations, they’re seeking a Senior Accountant to join their dynamic finance team near Oak Brook, IL.
The Senior Accountant is a newly created opening due to the growth of the company. This individual will work closely with upper management and will handle month-end processes, corporate consolidations, lease reporting, intercompany accounting and technical accounting research. This opening is offering a base salary of $95,000-$110,000 with an additional bonus.
Senior Accountant Responsibilities:

Perform corporate closing processes: balance sheet recs, monthly journal entries

Consolidate company financials
-
Handle intercompany transactions

Prepare monthly financial reports – in SAP, BPC software and Excel spreadsheets

Participate in the monthly trial balance review process to ensure completeness of the general ledger

Streamline month end processes and internal controls

Participate in lease accounting and bonus reporting

Work closely with the Tax team to ensure books and records are accurate for tax-related matters
Senior Accountant Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
-
3+ years of experience in public or corporate accounting

Experience with researching/implementing technical accounting standards

Excellent attention to detail with the ability to process improve
