Patient Registration Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Engages with patient, referral source, sales, pharmacy and nursing to coordinate discharge and secure nursing and delivery
- Creates, communicates and obtains all required documentation for new referrals
- Secures patient’s upfront payment including assisting patients to find avenues for payment where needed (identifies opportunities and directs patients to financial assistance program)
- Supports the ongoing activities needed to ensure clean claims on hold and denial management (follow-up on paperwork where missing)
- Assist the Patient Registration Supervisor and Manager with special assignments as needed
Patient Registration Coordinator Requirements:
- 1+ years of experience working in the healthcare industry is preferred
- Ability to work well independently and also contribute to the overall success of the team
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Superior interpersonal skills and strong attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task effectively and be flexible to adapt to change
