LaSalle Network is hiring for a skilled Outpatient Surgery Coder to support a high-performing healthcare team in a fully remote environment. What’s the job?
- Assign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS codes for outpatient surgical encounters, with a strong focus on same day surgery cases
- Review operative reports and clinical documentation to ensure coding accuracy and completeness
- Apply APC reimbursement methodologies to support accurate billing outcomes
- Ensure compliance with CMS guidelines and payer-specific requirements
- Query providers for clarification when documentation is incomplete or unclear
- Meet productivity and quality benchmarks in a remote setting
- Participate in audits and continuous improvement initiatives
What’s needed?
- RHIA, RHIT or CCS credential required
- Hands-on experience coding outpatient surgical cases, including same day procedures
- Strong knowledge of CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10-CM coding systems
- Familiarity with APC reimbursement methodology
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment
