We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Scheduler to join our client’s healthcare team in Ogdensburg, NY. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating patient appointments, managing schedules efficiently and ensuring smooth communication between patients and healthcare providers. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the flow of healthcare services and ensuring patient satisfaction.

Medical Scheduler Responsibilities:

  • Schedule patient appointments accurately and efficiently using scheduling software
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers to optimize appointment availability and ensure proper allocation of resources
  • Communicate with patients to confirm appointments, provide necessary instructions and address any concerns or questions
  • Maintain accurate records of appointments, cancellations and reschedules
  • Collaborate with other administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care and operational efficiency
  • Handle phone calls, emails and other forms of communication professionally and promptly

Medical Scheduler Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a medical office setting or similar administrative role preferred
  • Proficiency in using scheduling software and basic computer skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is a plus
