LaSalle Network is hiring an Accountant to join a well-established, fourth-generation construction company in Cicero. Reporting directly to the Controller, this Accountant position offers the opportunity to play a key role in the day-to-day accounting operations of a growing organization with deep roots in the construction industry. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accountant seeking exposure to multiple areas of accounting while working in a collaborative, informal environment.
What's the job?

Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations

Assist with month-end and year-end close processes

Complete monthly bank reconciliations

Manage subcontractor insurance certificates
-
Maintain and update Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules

Perform monthly accounting activities for affiliated companies
-
Prepare union reports and support union payroll processes
-
Enter customer billings and cash receipts
-
Assist with special projects and process improvements
What's needed?
-
3-5 years of accounting experience
-
Construction industry accounting experience preferred

Experience with union reporting and union payroll
-
Experience using accounting software; construction software preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
-
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
