LaSalle Network is hiring an experienced Accounting Analyst to join a leading energy organization in Richland, WA. This fully onsite opportunity is ideal for a driven accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced finance environment and enjoys digging into complex financial reporting, reconciliations and analysis.

This Accounting Analyst role offers the chance to support critical financial operations for a large-scale organization while partnering cross-functionally with internal leadership, auditors and external agencies. If you’re highly analytical, detail-oriented and experienced with financial close processes and compliance reporting, this could be your next great opportunity.

What’s the job?:

  • Support administration and enhancement of financial systems, including general ledger and journal entry platforms
  • Prepare monthly and annual financial statements, supporting schedules and financial reports
  • Assist with monthly close, annual close, reconciliations and audit preparation activities
  • Maintain project and facility ledgers in accordance with GAAP and FERC accounting procedures
  • Prepare journal entries, variance analysis and financial trend reporting
  • Support budgeting and monitoring of costs including depreciation, overhead allocations and debt service
  • Research complex accounting issues related to taxes, inventory, refunds and financial transactions
  • Assist with compliance reporting and implementation of GASB standards
  • Collaborate with management teams, auditors and external agencies on financial initiatives
  • Develop reporting insights using financial systems and analysis tools


What’s needed?:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
  • Equivalent accounting and finance experience considered in lieu of degree requirements
  • Experience supporting financial audits, compliance audits and close processes required
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial accounting principles
  • Familiarity with GASB and governmental accounting standards preferred
  • Experience with financial reporting, reconciliations and general ledger accounting
  • Advanced analytical, problem-solving and reporting skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience within utilities, energy, manufacturing or large corporate finance environments preferred
  • Familiarity with FERC accounting standards is a plus
