Right now, we are assisting a client as they search for a talented Interim Controller to join their team at the manufacturing facility in Westmont, IL. In this critical role, you will be responsible for providing financial leadership and oversight, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, and partnering with cross-functional teams to achieve strategic objectives.
Interim Controller Responsibilities:

Manage the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and financial reporting

Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP

Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations

Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to inform business decisions
-
Partner with department heads to develop and monitor budgets
-
Oversee the accounts payable and receivable teams, ensuring efficient operations and timely payments
-
Identify and implement cost-saving measures to improve profitability
-
Stay abreast of accounting best practices and industry trends
Interim Controller Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
-
CPA certification preferred
-
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role

Proven experience in interim accounting roles

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP)
-
Ideally some experience in a manufacturing environment (can be any type including CGP and Food & Bev)
