Role Summary
The Identity Architect will lead the design of an enterprise identity architecture across authentication, identity governance, privileged access, secrets management, and multi-cloud environments. This role will establish IAM standards and roadmaps while providing practical guidance for implementation.

The environment includes Microsoft Active Directory, Entra ID, Saviynt, CyberArk or similar PAM platforms, Azure, AWS, MFA, secrets management, and enterprise applications.


Key Responsibilities

  • Own the enterprise IAM architecture, standards, reference patterns, and roadmap.

  • Design integrated solutions across Entra ID, Saviynt, PAM, MFA, secrets management, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications.

  • Establish standards for human, privileged, service, application, workload, and other non-human identities.

  • Define identity lifecycle, access governance, role management, access reviews, and privileged-access processes.

  • Guide SSO, MFA, Conditional Access, federation, and application integrations.

  • Translate business, security, and regulatory requirements into implementable architecture and transition plans.

  • Review solutions for least privilege, resiliency, auditability, and supportability.

  • Partner with IAM, cloud, application, security, audit, and compliance teams.

  • Remain approximately 15 to 20% hands-on using APIs, PowerShell, Python, or other automation tools when needed.


Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years specifically working as an IAM Architect in a large enterprise environment.

  • Hands-on Saviynt experience is required and non-negotiable.

  • Strong experience with Active Directory and Entra ID, including hybrid identity, Conditional Access, MFA, and privileged access.

  • Experience with CyberArk or a comparable PAM platform and secrets management.

  • Strong knowledge of identity governance, lifecycle management, RBAC, segregation of duties, least privilege, and access reviews.

  • Identity and security experience in AWS or Azure, preferably both.

  • Experience with APIs, SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SCIM, federation, and automation.

  • Ability to work onsite in the Dallas/DFW area 2 to 3 days per week.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in utilities, critical infrastructure, NERC CIP, SOX, or another regulated environment.

  • Relevant IAM, security, cloud, Saviynt, CyberArk, or Microsoft certifications.

  • Experience with identity threat detection, service-account governance, and non-human identities.
