Position Overview & Context
We are seeking a highly accomplished Senior Advisory Lead specialized in Wealth Management to join our Data & AI advisory practice. In this high-impact, client-facing role, you will act as the primary technology diligence lead evaluating private equity acquisition targets. You will provide the critical 'technology lens' for PE firms, identifying data value drivers, evaluating modern architectural stacks, and determining AI readiness. The ideal candidate brings deep domain expertise across Wealth Management, a robust background in data management, and extensive hands-on experience designing and executing enterprise AI/ML strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Technology Diligence: Direct multi-deal portfolio diligence engagements (managing 3–5 simultaneous deals) assessing target company data platforms, AI maturity, architecture, and governance.

  • AI & Data Strategy Evaluation: Evaluate data hygiene, reference architecture modernity, proprietary data set capitalization, and realistic AI/ML use case pipelines in production and backlog.

  • Executive Engagement & Deliverables: Conduct intensive executive interviews with C-suite management (CTOs, CIOs, CDOs) during buy-side and sell-side site visits. Deliver high-impact report decks and post-transaction value creation roadmaps.

  • Accelerated AI Workflows: Leverage modern enterprise AI acceleration tools (e.g., enterprise ChatGPT) to efficiently analyze architecture diagrams, data strategy documentation, and technical codebases.

Core Requirements & Qualifications

  • Total Experience: 20+ years of progressive leadership experience in technology advisory, management consulting, or enterprise architecture.

  • Domain Expertise (Wealth Management): Extensive domain knowledge within Wealth Management and Financial Services (portfolio management systems, advisor tech stacks, custody integration, client reporting platforms, risk/compliance data frameworks, and wealth tech architectures).

  • Applied AI & ML Capabilities (Required): Proven track record in AI strategy, solution design, use case identification, and AI build/deployment oversight.

  • Data Platform Foundations: Strong foundation in data management, data modeling, data governance, data lakehouse architectures, and modern data platforms.

  • Executive Presence & Communication: Exceptional executive presence; ability to navigate high-pressure 'pressure cooker' environments, deal with ambiguity, and candidly defend analytical findings directly to leadership and PE sponsors.

Preferred Skills & Certifications

  • Platform Certifications: Databricks certifications are highly desirable. Hyperscaler cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP) are a plus.

  • M&A / Diligence Background: Prior experience in private equity M&A transaction services, buy-side/sell-side technology diligence, or consulting advisory.

Key Details:

  • Compensation: $120.00 – $130.00 per hour

  • Benefits: LaSalle Network consultants are eligible to enroll in benefits. For details, visit https://www.thelasallenetwork.com/consultants/
