LaSalle Network has partnered with an established professional services organization in the western suburbs of Chicago who is looking for a motivated Human Resources Generalist to join their team! The Human Resources Generalist will join an evolving HR team and will be the main point of contact and resource for all corporate employees in Illinois. 

Reporting to the Human Resources Director, this person will act as an internal subject matter expert for human resources. The Human Resources Generalist will specifically focus on compliance, employee relations, benefits administration, recruiting, training and administrative support, and will also be asked to lead special projects as assigned by HR leadership. The ideal Human Resources Generalist candidate is someone who can build strong relationships with a variety of employees to engage and build the company culture

Human Resources Generalist Responsibilities:
  • Support the HR team by leading all compliance and reporting, including internal audits, certifications and process improvement within the HR department
  • Manage FMLA, Worker’s Compensation, unemployment and other benefits administration support
  • Assist with employee relations needs including day to day issues, as well as more complex issues including investigations
  • Oversee the HRIS system, including data integrity and reporting
  • Support the company’s mission, vision and values in daily activities and the creation of strategic goals
  • Assist with and deliver various presentations for employees and managers
  • Assist in performance management, training and development, and compensation design
  • Provide support in compliance and employment laws

Human Resources Generalist Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree required, PHR preferred
  • 4+ years of human resources generalist experience
  • Specific knowledge of several human resources processes and practices (employment law/compliance, compensation, organizational development, leadership development, benefits, compensation, risk management)
  • Preference for someone highly proficient in ADP and/or ADP Workforce Now
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; superb organizational skills
  • Excellent customer service skills and mentality
