LaSalle Network is looking to bring in a new HR Director to play a pivotal role in managing compliance, risk and employee relations, while supporting benefits administration, performance management, and implementing HR processes. This individual will collaborate closely with the Sr. Director, CHRO and Learning & Organizational Development Director.

HR Director Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement HR employee relations and compliance policies/procedures that are aligned with company goals and recruiting industry best practices
  • Collaborate with the Learning & Organizational Director to identify talent needs, assess skills gaps and propose learning initiatives
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices related to HR
  • Oversee benefits administration with HR Manager and Sr. Director, including inquiries from staff and vendor communication
  • Serve as an escalated key point of contact, providing guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related issues including employment laws, terminations, performance management, unemployment issues, worker authorization and ACA/leave policies
  • Work closely with Sr. Director and Sr. Director of Operations on building out/improving performance management for staff
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure HR practices align with company goals and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor terminations and employee count through consistent reporting. Provide data updates to accounting and executive teams
  • Lead and mentor HR team members, fostering a culture of professional development and continuous improvement
  • Oversee the Unemployment Process including claims and hearings, Quarterly Audits, reporting and escalated unemployment questions
  • Oversee onboarding process for both contract and internal employees, with a specific immediate focus on updating and improving paperwork as needed through ATS and Payroll system
  • Management and execution of year-to-year handbook updates
  • With HR Manager and Sr. Director, oversee temporary employee relations issues including conducting investigations, assisting with escalated conflicts and inquiries, filing paperwork as requested, within a fair and timely manner as needed
  • Responsible for overseeing updates, changes, and entries of our HRIS system for staff. This includes salary updates, new hire enrollments, confirmation of address changes and demographic changes, assisting with time off
  • Responsible for overseeing and improving when needed, the entire compliance check process, ensuring FCRA compliance
  • Direct HR Manager on any internal background and compliance checks that need to be processed.
  • Working with HR Generalist/HR Admin on communicating with payroll and compliance vendors for approvals, new packages, discrepancies, and annual reviews
  • Responsible for managing contract and internal benefits complaints including plan audits and renewals.
  • Investigating recurring temporary and internal employee complaints or issues, and recommending remedial action (benefits or employee relations related)
  • Responsible for learning and assisting with ACA process as needed to allow for improvements. Once implemented, oversee weekly reporting
  • Develop system for processing all monthly billing in a timely manner for internal benefits
  • Full management and ownership of retirement plan for internal employees
  • Analyze and monitor benefit data to ensure accuracy of information transfers, eligibility tracking, and census files; ensures all benefit invoices are paid and plans are active

HR Director Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Certifications, PHR, SPHR, CCEP or CRM, preferred
  • California PHR or Certification, a plus
  • Prior experience administering/managing benefit plans
  • Up to date legal knowledge of FLSA, ADA, FCRA, Pay Equity/Transparency
  • Proven track record of implementing HR processes and polices effectively
  • 5-7 years of industry experience
  • Advanced Excel skills; Intermediate Word and PowerPoint skills; and payroll systems a strong plus
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with a collaborative approach
