LaSalle Network is partnering with a leading manufacturing organization to hire an Electrician I to maintain, install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment and facility systems. This role is ideal for an experienced electrician with a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, PLCs, controls, and mechanical equipment.

What's the job?

Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment and facility electrical systems
-
Diagnose and repair motors, transformers, lighting, controls, and other electrical components
-
Utilize electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems along with temperature and pressure gauges
-
Use PLCs, including basic ladder logic, to diagnose equipment issues and troubleshoot electrical systems
-
Read and interpret wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
-
Connect power supply wiring, cables, conduit, and electrical components to machines and equipment
-
Assemble and bench test electrical components prior to installation
-
Plan wiring layouts and install conduit, wiring, and ancillary electrical equipment
-
Update electrical schematics and documentation when equipment modifications are made
-
Maintain work orders, breakdown reports, preventive maintenance records, and machine modification documentation

Utilize electrical test equipment, hand tools, and portable power tools to troubleshoot and repair equipment
-
Participate in process improvement initiatives and support continuous improvement efforts

Follow all applicable safety, quality, GMP, and electrical standards
What's needed?
-
3+ years of experience diagnosing and repairing electrical equipment or machinery, or comparable experience through trade school or technical training

High School diploma or equivalent required

Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints

Basic working knowledge of PLCs and ladder logic

Basic understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC)

Knowledge of industrial controls and instrumentation

Working knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems

Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot machinery and equipment

Understanding of microprocessor hardware and software configurations and basic analog and digital circuit design

Proficiency using multimeters, oscilloscopes, hand tools, and portable power tools
-
Strong mathematical skills, including basic algebra and unit conversions

Associates Degree in Electronics Technology preferred

Electrical apprenticeship or trade school training preferred
-
SAP experience preferred

Strong communication, collaboration, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
