LaSalle Network is partnering with a fast-growing electrical construction company to hire a Safety Manager for their Hoffman Estates, IL location, supporting data center and critical infrastructure projects.
This is a great opportunity for a construction safety professional who wants to build and implement safety processes — not just enforce them — in a fast-paced, high-growth environment working directly alongside contractors and field crews.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and enforce site-specific safety plans for construction and data center projects
- Work directly with contractors and field teams to implement safety processes
- Conduct regular jobsite inspections and audits
- Identify hazards and ensure corrections happen before incidents occur
- Lead toolbox talks, safety orientations and training
- Own procedures around lockout/tagout (LOTO), electrical safety, fall protection and confined space
- Investigate incidents and near misses, documenting root cause and corrective actions
- Serve as the point person for OSHA compliance, client safety requirements and third-party audits
- Maintain safety documentation, certifications and training records
- Handle new-hire safety and compliance processes
- Partner with Project Managers and Superintendents on pre-task planning and project safety
What’s Needed?
- 3+ years of experience as a Safety Manager in construction
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA 1926
- OSHA 30 required; OSHA 500 or CHST preferred
- Data center, electrical construction or critical infrastructure experience a plus
- NFPA 70E / arc-flash knowledge valuable
- High-voltage, switchgear or critical-infrastructure experience a plus
- Highly organized with the ability to manage safety documentation across multiple platforms
- Strong communicator comfortable working directly with contractors, subs and field crews
- Confident, resilient personality — able to hold contractors accountable and enforce safety standards
