LaSalle Network is partnered with a Chicago hospital to find a dynamic leader to join their emergency department as a Clinical Nurse Manager. This position will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the unit, including scheduling, staffing and oversight of clinical functions to assure the delivery of quality patient care.
Clinical Nurse Manager Responsibilities:
- Efficiently use internal and external resources to ensure appropriate staffing of unit based on accepted standards of care
- In outpatient settings, develop and coordinate clinical program schedule and goals and provide direct patient care when necessary
- Manage unit personnel by hiring quality staff to meet the needs of patients and their families, provide ongoing supervision and direction to the staff, and evaluate staff performance including recommendations for personnel actions
- Participate in the development of and hold staff accountable for hospital, nursing and unit policies, procedures, objectives, competencies, performance improvement initiatives as well as safety, environmental and infection control standards
- Maintain departmental records and report and collect statistical data for administrative and regulatory purposes
- Maintain knowledge base in the specific clinical area and promote professional staff development
- Assist in the development of unit operating and capital budgets; maintain unit budget and productivity within appropriate parameters
- Assist with department charge master, coding process and billing and chart reviews
Clinical Nurse Manager Requirements:
- Must have RN degree from an accredited institution
- Must have RN license active in IDFPR
- Must have BLS Certification; ACLS Certification highly preferred
- 1+ year of leadership experience required
- COVID-19 vaccination required
This is a fully onsite, full time, direct hire opportunity. Qualified candidates must be flexible with working scheduled hours from 6am-7pm for rotating shifts, Monday-Friday.
