As a Certified Medical Assistant, you'll be at the heart of patient care, responsible for greeting and rooming patients, obtaining vitals and documenting medical history. Your role extends beyond routine tasks; you'll be instrumental in setting up equipment for physicians, ensuring a seamless patient experience. Your genuine empathy and attention to detail will be key in screening patients and providing accurate instructions for examinations and procedures.

Certified Medical Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Escort patients to exam rooms, ensuring their comfort and privacy
  • Obtain precise vital signs, adhering to organizational standards
  • Thoroughly document patient history, allergies and pertinent information
  • Collaborate closely with providers and nurses, promptly informing them of any significant changes in patient status
  • Anticipate and prepare equipment and supplies needed for each visit
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in exam rooms, ensuring a welcoming environment for patients

Certified Medical Assistant Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Current Medical Assistant Certification through reputable entities such as AMT, NHA, AAMA, NCCT, NCMA, NRCMA, etc.
  • 1+ year of recent clinical healthcare experience
  • Proficient in medical terminology, acquired through coursework or relevant experience
  • Exceptional customer service and patient care skills, with a passion for making a positive impact
