We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented AutoCAD Designer to join our client, a unique manufacturing organization located in the north suburbs of Illinois. As an AutoCAD Designer, you will play a crucial role in translating project specifications and concepts into accurate and precise technical drawings within the sound acoustics industry.
Your expertise will contribute to the success of construction and architectural projects by producing comprehensive plans that guide installation teams and ensure the highest quality standards. AutoCAD Designer Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with project stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into detailed technical drawings
- Utilize AutoCAD software to generate accurate and precise plans, blueprints and schematics
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements in all design outputs
- Provide support to installation teams by producing comprehensive drawings that facilitate seamless execution
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and workflows
- Maintain clear and effective communication with team members and project stakeholders
- Adhere to project timelines and deliverables to ensure timely completion
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in design technology to enhance skillset and contribute to organizational growth
AutoCAD Designer Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, drafting or a related field preferred; relevant experience may substitute for formal education
- 2+ years of experience using AutoCAD or SolidWorks software with a strong ability to create 2D or 3D drawings and layouts
- Previous experience in architectural or related construction disciplines is a plus
- Attention to detail and a keen eye for precision to produce accurate and error-free technical drawings
- Problem-solving skills to address design challenges and create efficient solutions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software tools
