Our client, a leading national parts distributor, is expanding its team and seeking a dynamic Procurement Buyer to support the growing business. This role presents a unique opportunity for exposure to key stakeholders and involvement in strategic sourcing, supplier analysis and contract management within a national parts distribution context.
Procurement Buyer Responsibilities:

Identify and evaluate potential suppliers

Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers

Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable agreements

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs

Develop and implement procurement strategies
Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and pricing -
Negotiate and finalize contracts with suppliers, ensuring terms align with organizational goals

Monitor contract performance and address any issues that may arise

Analyze pricing proposals and cost structures to identify cost-saving opportunities
-
Implement cost-effective strategies without compromising quality

Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure purchased products meet required standards

Address and resolve any quality issues with suppliers

Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with the supply chain
Procurement Buyer Requirements:

Bachelor's degree is preferred
-
1-3+ years within procurement
-
Attention to details paired with strong communication skills
