Manual QA Specialist (Contract)
Overview
A higher education organization is seeking experienced Manual QA Specialists to support a large-scale website migration and redesign initiative.
The selected consultants will be responsible for validating functionality, navigation, content, forms, responsiveness, and overall website quality before public launch.
This is an ideal opportunity for QA professionals who enjoy structured testing engagements and can quickly execute comprehensive manual testing plans across large content-driven websites.
Responsibilities

Execute manual testing plans across website pages and workflows

Validate site navigation, links, CTAs, and user journeys

Test forms and transactional workflows
-
Perform responsive testing across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices
-
Conduct cross-browser testing
-
Identify, document, and prioritize defects
-
Retest and validate resolved issues
-
Maintain organized testing documentation and defect logs
-
Collaborate with developers and stakeholders throughout the testing cycle
Required Qualifications

Experience performing manual QA testing for websites or web applications
-
Strong attention to detail
-
Experience creating clear defect documentation
-
Experience with cross-browser and responsive testing
-
Ability to manage large testing inventories and track results systematically
-
Excellent written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications

Jira or similar defect-tracking tools

Selenium exposure

Compensation

Hourly Rate: $30-40 per hour

Estimated Engagement: 120-170 hours total

Estimated Duration: 2-3 weeks
