Position: Director, Integrated Facilities Management

Location: Mountain View, CA 94043
Compensation: $225-250K

Position Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced Director of Integrated Facilities Management to lead the strategic and operational delivery of integrated facilities services across a large, complex portfolio. This executive leadership role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, driving cross-functional collaboration, optimizing financial performance, and leading transformational initiatives that enhance workplace experiences and operational efficiency.

The Director will oversee the integration of facilities operations, engineering, workplace services, property management, and employee support functions while partnering with executive stakeholders to implement innovative solutions, improve service delivery, and drive continuous improvement across multiple sites.


Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Lead the overall delivery of integrated facilities management services across a multi-site portfolio.

  • Ensure all facilities operations are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contractual obligations, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

  • Oversee both hard and soft services, including facilities maintenance, engineering, workplace operations, events, reception, mail services, occupancy planning, moves/adds/changes, sustainability initiatives, and employee experience programs.

  • Foster collaboration across cross-functional service teams to deliver a seamless workplace experience.

Strategic Portfolio Management

  • Develop and execute operational strategies that improve service delivery, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

  • Establish performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor operational performance and identify improvement opportunities.

  • Utilize business intelligence, analytics, and reporting tools to support data-driven decision making.

  • Drive operational consistency across multiple locations while adapting to changing business needs.

Financial & Contract Management

  • Manage operating budgets, financial forecasts, and overall portfolio profitability.

  • Oversee contract administration, vendor performance, service agreements, and change management processes.

  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, operational efficiencies, and continuous improvement while maintaining service quality.

  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and financial objectives.

Technology & Innovation

  • Lead initiatives focused on digital transformation, automation, workplace technology, and operational innovation.

  • Evaluate and implement emerging technologies, including AI, IoT, sensor-based systems, and smart building solutions to improve operational performance and resource utilization.

  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives that modernize facilities operations and enhance workplace experiences.

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, regulatory, and corporate standards.

  • Identify operational risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize business disruption.

  • Lead governance activities, audits, and performance reviews across facilities operations.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing facilities and workplace services teams.

  • Build strong relationships with executive leadership, business partners, vendors, and external service providers.

  • Influence organizational change by leading large-scale transformation initiatives and driving adoption of new operational processes.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, customer service, and continuous improvement.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Facilities Management, Real Estate, Construction Management, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in facilities management, workplace services, corporate real estate, or integrated facilities management.

  • Demonstrated success managing large, multi-site facilities portfolios within complex corporate environments.

  • Strong financial management experience, including operating budgets, forecasting, contract administration, and P&L responsibility.

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing outsourced service providers.

  • Proven ability to drive operational excellence through performance management, process improvement, and strategic planning.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and executive stakeholder management capabilities.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications such as FMP (Facility Management Professional), CFM (Certified Facility Manager), MCR (Master of Corporate Real Estate), or PMP.

  • Experience implementing workplace technologies, smart building systems, AI-enabled solutions, or IoT-based operational platforms.

  • Experience leading enterprise-wide transformation or organizational change initiatives.

  • Knowledge of sustainability programs, energy management, and environmental compliance.
