This role is ideal for someone with experience in higher education who enjoys working closely with faculty and academic leadership. We’re looking for someone who is organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities while serving as a key point of contact for faculty.
Academic Program Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for faculty, managing ongoing communication and support needs
- Coordinate and manage faculty-related processes, including faculty appointments, credentialing, and privileging documentation
- Track and manage high-volume requests while ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Support department communications, including drafting newsletters, announcements, and internal updates
- Partner with leadership on special projects and process improvements
- Utilize internal systems (such as PeopleSoft or Oracle) to support data entry, updates, and workflow management
Academic Program Coordinator Requirements:
- Prior experience in higher education, healthcare, or a professional services environment
- Experience supporting academic programs, faculty, leadership, or administrative operations preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with a variety of stakeholders
- Comfort working with databases and systems; experience with PeopleSoft, Oracle, or similar platforms is a plus
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a broader team
- Professional, adaptable, and proactive approach with a strong attention to detail
Key Details:
- Compensation: $65,000–$70,000 annually based on experience
- Location: Chicago, IL (Streeterville area)
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, standard business hours
- This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with long-term potential within the organization
