LaSalle Named 2011 Top Small Company Workplace by Inc. Magazine

This is the third national award LaSalle Network has won this year.

Chicago, IL, May 23, 2011– LaSalle Network, a Chicago-based staffing and recruiting firm, has been named one of the best small and mid-sized places to work by Inc. Magazine and Winning Workplaces. LaSalle Network was one of four Illinois companies recognized for their exemplary people practices and outstanding workplace cultures.

“LaSalle Network’s business success directly relates to the success and caliber of our people,” says Tom Gimbel, Founder and CEO of LaSalle Network. “This award is a tribute to our supportive managers, passionate and engaged staff, and transparent dialogue throughout the company.”

The common characteristics of the Top Small Company Workplaces include a commitment to aligning the workforce with a clear vision and mission, communicating with openness and trust, and investing in employees’ continuous learning and development. LaSalle Network was specifically recognized for their training and development programs, unique culture, and collective atmosphere.

“Above all, we pride ourselves on our team-based environment,” says Gimbel. “While most staffing firms are organized and compensated around individual performance, LaSalle Network is team-based. It creates an atmosphere that fosters collaboration instead of competition.”

A national panel of experts in leadership and small to mid-sized business judged the finalists. Selections were based on specific metrics and qualitative assessments of the finalists’ success in creating the kind of workplaces that engage employees and deliver bottom-line results.

“These firms represent some of the finest privately held companies in the world,” says Bob LaPointe, president of Inc. “Each of these Top Small Company Workplaces offers an environment in which people flourish and, as a result, profit follows.”

With LaSalle’s people practices in place, LaSalle organically grew 14% in 2010 without experiencing any layoffs or acquisitions, culminating in over 700% growth since 2001.

“From the beginning of LaSalle and through the recession it was always our priority to continually empower our employees to make a difference,” says Sirmara Campbell, Director of Human Resources. “We recognize our employees’ accomplishments and encourage every employee to be part of the decision-making process.”
