Payroll Specialist Responsibilities:
- Process bi-weekly or semi-monthly payroll for hourly and salaried employees
- Check and validate payroll prior to transmission through the automated and manual banking systems
- Manage pay for annual or semi-annual bonuses including quarterly bonus, holiday bonus and unused vacation
- Review employee records for accuracy of employee data and approval of payroll deductions
- Some experience processing payrolls through large ERP system
- Sort and organize high volumes of Excel data
Payroll Specialist Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred but not required
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Preferred experience with union and non-union payroll
- Experience in Great Plains/Microsoft Dynamics or other large ERP system
