Solutions Engineer
Location: On-site in Manteno, IL
Compensation: $130,000 -155,000 annually with eligibility to earn a bonus

Role Overview:

You’ll play a critical role in developing commercially competitive, technically sound solutions while driving collaboration across internal teams to bring complex projects to life. Key Responsibilities:

Lead technical solution development for customer opportunities, including system architecture, sizing, integration strategy, and overall solution optimization

Partner closely with sales teams to engage customers, identify project requirements, and position tailored energy storage solutions effectively

Support RFQ/RFP processes by providing technical expertise, feasibility analysis, system design recommendations, and cost-conscious solution strategies

Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product management, manufacturing, and operations teams to ensure alignment on technical scope, timelines, and delivery expectations

Serve as a key contributor during project transition from awarded business through execution and launch (RFQ through SOP)

Identify technical and commercial risks early in the process and drive proactive mitigation plans to support successful project outcomes

Act as a trusted technical advisor for both internal stakeholders and customers throughout the project lifecycle
Qualifications:

5–10+ years of experience within energy storage, renewable energy, power systems, or related industries

Strong understanding of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), and grid integration concepts

Experience supporting customer-facing technical sales efforts, RFQ/RFP responses, and solution-based discussions

Proven ability to work effectively across sales, engineering, operations, and manufacturing environments

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences

Experience supporting utility-scale and/or commercial & industrial (C&I) energy projects strongly preferred
