As a Senior Staff Accountant, you will report directly to the Controller and work alongside a motivated and independent accounting team. You'll have the opportunity to participate in process improvement projects and advance your career within the company.
Senior Staff Accountant Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for senior management
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Conduct month-end close activities, including journal entries and accruals, to facilitate timely financial reporting
- File and review tax forms with federal, state and local agencies to ensure regulatory compliance
Senior Staff Accountant Requirements:
- 3+ years of general ledger accounting experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics highly preferred
- 4+ years of experience with a large ERP system such as Oracle, SAP, NetSuite or Great Plains
- Ability to run the month end close process independently
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex financial information applying advanced accounting principles and your strong understanding of GAAP
- Knowledge of general ledger chart of accounts and expense coding
