LaSalle Network has partnered with a growing client in the oil and gas industry who is looking to bring a Senior Accountant onto their team in Allen, TX! Our client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Technical Accountant with specialized experience in 45Q tax credits. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of accounting principles, regulatory requirements and industry-specific practices. This role requires expertise in managing and optimizing the 45Q tax credit process, ensuring compliance and supporting our client’s sustainability initiatives.
Senior Accountant Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and industry standards
- Oversee the application and maintenance of 45Q tax credits for carbon capture projects
- Ensure compliance with IRS regulations and guidelines related to 45Q
- Support the preparation of the annual budget
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, accounting standards and internal controls related to accounts receivable management
- Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation, explanations and reconciliations as needed
- Provide accounting support for large-scale carbon capture and storage (CCS) projects
Senior Accountant Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in with accounting or finance, within the oil & gas industry
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field required. CPA preferred
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and audit procedures
- 45Q knowledge preferred
