LaSalle Network is partnered with a technology driven asset management firm with $5B AUM, to help identify a Remote Software Developer (Java) to add to their growing team. This person will be developing trading applications and systems. This is an opportunity to join a fully remote forward-thinking team, using cutting edge technology, and providing strong mentorship.
Remote Software Developer (Java) Responsibilities:

Designing Java-based software applications across various systems and sub-systems, such as trading system infrastructure, data importing and database monitoring and visualization

Ensure the quality of software by using unit testing, integration testing and code reviews with other peers

Troubleshoot and debug existing software running in the production system to ensure functionality and performance

Communicate with and gather requirements and user feedback from the various trading and operations teams for software projects
Remote Software Developer (Java) Requirements:
-
2+ years of software development
-
Experience including data import and data manipulation along with experience developing front-facing user APIs

Proficient in writing applications and tools in a general-purpose programming language such as Java/C++
-
Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms, specifically regarding time complexity and general performance

Knowledge of Linux based systems and utilities such as BASH and command line tools

Strong communication and interpersonal skills suitable for a fast-paced trading environment with small teams of co-workers

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or engineering preferred
