Job Description
LaSalle Network is currently partnering with a nationwide Managed Service Provider that is looking for a CA Datacom Systems Administrator. This individual will be responsible for upgrading and maintaining mainframe database software to support CA Datacom Environments.

This is a contract opportunity with the possibility of extension or conversion and is 100% remote. We can support W2, 1099 and C2C.

CA Datacom Systems Administrator Responsibilities:
  • Implement and maintain software management best practices
  • Configure and manage CA Datacom and related products
  • Develop strategies and processes for CA Datacom systems programming
  • Establish policies and procedures for database management, disaster recovery and security
  • Review new versions of CA Datacom and related products to assess benefits for clients
  • Collaborate with vendors to resolve problems and answer questions
  • Perform disaster recovery for system and application databases
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production database issues
  • Administer and customize CA Datacom and related products
  • Design databases and work with CA Datadictionary
  • Monitor databases for space and performance using CA Sysview
  • Utilize utilities for CA Datacom and related products
  • Support planned and unplanned database recovery activities

CA Datacom Systems Administrator Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years of experience in CA Datacom and related products for administration and systems programming support
  • Experience in a large, 24x7 environment with strong prioritization skills
  • Ability to effectively respond to support requests from multiple clients
  • Willingness to provide after-hours on-call support
  • Proficiency in writing, debugging and tuning SQL
  • Previous experience in a CA Datacom environment
