Payroll Specialist Responsibilities:
- Process payroll accurately and on schedule, ensuring correct employee data, deductions, and benefits
- Maintain detailed payroll records and resolve discrepancies quickly
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, payroll policies, and labor laws
- Conduct orientations and support new hires during their first days
- Assist HR with onboarding tasks
- Handle employee inquiries with professionalism and confidentiality
- Support other HR and administrative functions as needed
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5 years of payroll experience, ideally within the construction field
- Experience with Sage, Excel, and CMiC is a plus
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Competitive compensation: $65,000–$75,000
