Negotiator Responsibilities:
- Manage requests for reservations spanning 30 nights or more, tailoring solutions to meet customer requirements and enhance satisfaction
- Engage in clear and consistent communication with both clients and hotels through phone and email, adhering to policies
- Demonstrate proficiency and consistency in delivering top-tier reservation services to clients
- Execute negotiations for requests extending 45 nights or more in accordance with established policies
- Conduct intricate negotiations involving constrained purchasing power, limited availability situations, and tight deadlines, striving to achieve targeted client savings percentages
- Identify patterns and prospects for client savings and potential market consolidation
- Secure competitive rates, discounts, and requests for proposals from existing and prospective hotel partners
- Book accommodations aligning with client guidelines concerning per diem rates, amenities, distance restrictions, authorized requestor criteria, and hotel preferences
- Address and resolve client and hotel issues on a daily basis
- Handle client and hotel inquiries regarding reservation extensions, early departures, or changes promptly and effectively
- Consult with clients to select the most suitable options based on their needs
- Collaborate with Account Management teams and Long-Term Solutions to facilitate network consolidation for clients
- Maintain consistent communication with clients and hotels to uphold adherence to policies
Negotiator Requirements:
- Possession of a college degree or 1-3 years of relevant prior experience
- Proven capability to negotiate effectively under tight deadlines and with little notice
- Demonstrated adeptness in high-level problem-solving utilizing critical thinking skills
- Proven ability to collaborate within a team environment and deliver exceptional service with precision
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet navigation demonstrated
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and telephone skills coupled with a strong sense of initiative, accountability, ownership, and dedication to delivering superior customer service
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotations outside of regular shifts
