A mission-driven non-profit organization is seeking an experienced Director of Procurement to lead procurement operations, drive process improvements, and support the implementation of a new enterprise procurement system. This individual will play a key role in building and optimizing procurement processes, managing supplier relationships, and partnering with stakeholders across the organization to ensure efficient and compliant purchasing practices.

Key Responsibilities

Lead procurement operations and support the development of a centralized procurement function across the organization.

Partner with Finance, Operations, IT, and other business units to align procurement processes and organizational goals.

Support the implementation and optimization of procurement systems and workflows, including requisitioning, purchasing, supplier management, and procure-to-pay processes.

Develop and improve procurement policies, procedures, and best practices to increase efficiency and compliance.

Manage supplier sourcing, vendor selection, contract negotiations, and ongoing supplier performance.

Drive procurement initiatives while balancing multiple priorities and meeting project deadlines.

Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and operational efficiencies.

Monitor procurement metrics and performance indicators, providing regular updates to leadership.

Resolve procurement-related issues and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely solutions.

Support organizational objectives through strategic sourcing, vendor management, and procurement planning.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, or a related field.

7+ years of progressive procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or purchasing experience.

Experience leading procurement initiatives, process improvements, or organizational transformation projects.

Strong understanding of supplier management, contract negotiations, and procurement best practices.

Experience working with ERP, procurement, or procure-to-pay systems.

Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience implementing or optimizing procurement systems and processes.

Background in non-profit, healthcare, education, government, or other mission-driven organizations.

Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and organizational change efforts.

Professional certifications such as CPSM, CSCP, CPM, or similar are a plus.
