LaSalle Network is partnering with a global consumer products company that is currently hiring for an EHS Manager, which is a key site-level leadership role responsible for driving and sustaining a proactive health, safety, and security culture. This position serves as a strategic partner to plant leadership, Human Resources, and corporate stakeholders to ensure health and safety are deeply embedded as a core value across the organization.

This role has significant influence over safety culture transformation, regulatory compliance, injury prevention, and the continuous improvement of health, safety, and security programs, policies, and systems at the site level. The EHS Manager will also lead safety personnel and play a critical role in shaping overall site performance and employee well-being.

EHS Manager Responsibilities:
  • Foster a culture of safety and accountability where all employees take ownership of health and safety behaviors and conditions.
  • Serve as a key member of the site leadership team, driving strategy and engagement around health, safety, and security initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state/provincial, and federal health and safety regulations; act as the primary point of contact during regulatory inspections and audits.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve site-specific health, safety, and security policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Lead behavior-based safety initiatives and drive an injury-free culture through continuous improvement and change management.
  • Implement and sustain health and safety management systems, including Key Elements of Safety (KES) and cultural assessments.
  • Facilitate safety committees and support department-level safety meetings and initiatives.
  • Leverage internal and external resources to build and maintain a comprehensive and sustainable safety and security program.
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulatory updates, and emerging risks in health, safety, and security.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including participation in Kaizen events and other operational excellence activities.
  • Develop and track leading and lagging safety indicators; analyze performance data to drive actionable insights and improvements.
  • Manage Worker’s Compensation programs in partnership with Human Resources.
  • Plan, budget, and execute programs aimed at reducing workplace injuries and enhancing overall employee well-being.
  • Oversee plant security programs, systems, and personnel; conduct audits and ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain and lead emergency response and crisis management planning, including conducting regular drills and simulations.
  • Provide leadership and oversight to site Safety Coordinator(s).
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support site safety and operational objectives.

EHS Manager Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field required; CSP certification strongly preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive health and safety experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state/provincial occupational health and safety regulations and worker’s compensation programs.
  • Proven experience driving culture change, continuous improvement, and behavior-based safety programs.
  • Experience with ISO-based management systems preferred.
  • Strong leadership experience with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience managing safety teams and working cross-functionally in a plant environment.
  • Training facilitation experience required; bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Working knowledge of HR and health & safety information systems.

Pay Range: $95,000–$123,000 with bonus eligibility
