We’re looking for an experienced Inpatient Coder to step into a fully remote role where your expertise actually matters. This Inpatient Coder position is designed for professionals who have worked in large hospital systems and can confidently code high-acuity cases.
What’s the job?
- Code inpatient records using ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS
- Review detailed clinical documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Ensure compliance with CMS and regulatory standards
- Communicate with providers to clarify and improve documentation
- Manage a steady volume of complex cases with precision
- Stay agile as workflows and priorities evolve
What’s needed?
- RHIT, RHIA, or CCS certification is required
- 3+ years of inpatient coding experience
- Experience in large hospitals (500+ beds preferred)
- Strong command of ICD-10-CM/PCS coding
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Epic or Solventum experience preferred
