LaSalle Network has partnered with a growing non-profit organization in their search for a Senior Non-Profit Accountant. Serving over 4,000 families each year, this organization focuses on providing early childhood education, health and social services to the communities they serve. They’re looking for a Senior Non-Profit Accountant to join their growing Chicago office. Aside from the core accounting responsibilities, this Senior Non-Profit Accountant will work cross functionally with other teams in the organization and play a critical role in managing federal & state grants.
Senior Non-Profit Accountant Responsibilities:
- Perform month end close responsibilities including journal entries, variance analysis, account reconciliations and management inquiries
- Manage federal and state grant funding to ensure compliance with Federal and State rules and regulations
- Implement accounting process improves to streamline & improve accuracy
- Prepare complex ad-hoc reporting and analysis as assigned & present findings to higher management
Senior Non-Profit Accountant Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
- 2+ years of experience out of a non-profit preferred
- Prior grant accounting experience required
- People management experience is a plus
