The Engineer II will play a critical role in developing vehicle architectures, hydraulic systems, and mechanical assemblies that support highly engineered industrial equipment. This position offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally with manufacturing, sourcing, quality, and service teams while contributing to innovative products used in demanding field environments. Engineer II Responsibilities
- Design and support mechanical and hydraulic vehicle architectures across multiple product lines
- Develop hydraulic schematics, mechanical assemblies, and technical support documentation
- Collaborate with Mechanical, Hydraulic, and Systems Engineers to deliver integrated machine solutions
- Support production teams by troubleshooting and resolving hydraulic and mechanical system issues
- Develop and maintain a catalog of mechanical and hydraulic components supporting vehicle architecture
- Create, release, and maintain bills of materials, technical specifications, and engineering documentation
- Lead verification and validation testing activities and document results
- Coordinate engineering deviations, change requests, and engineering change orders
- Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and internal quality requirements
- Participate in field visits, training programs, and customer interactions to strengthen product knowledge
- Work closely with manufacturing, sourcing, quality, and service teams to support product development and continuous improvement initiatives
What's Needed?
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
- 2-5+ years of experience working with mechanical and hydraulic systems
- Experience within off-road equipment, construction equipment, rail equipment, forestry equipment, agricultural equipment, or similar industries preferred
- Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD
- Experience working with PDM software and ERP/MRP systems preferred
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a collaborative engineering environment
- Desire to learn complex equipment systems and engage with customers and field operations
