Our client based in Deerfield, IL is offering remote flexibility and is looking for an exceptional finance leader with corporate consolidations experience that can assist with Form 10, 10K and 10Q processes and lead a strong team of senior level individuals.
Being the leader of the corporate consolidations project, you will have a hands-on approach and cannot be afraid of delegating tough tasks and decisions to the team.
The hourly pay range for this role is between $80-$85/hour and the position is hybrid.
Senior Financial Consolidations Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the financial consolidation process, including monthly, quarterly, and annual closes.
- Prepare and review consolidated financial statements and related disclosures in accordance with US GAAP and SEC regulations.
- Oversee the elimination of intercompany transactions and prepare necessary journal entries.
- Analyze financial data and identify trends and risks.
- Manage relationships with other departments, such as accounting, tax, and treasury, to ensure accurate and timely data collection.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the consolidation process.
- Stay up-to-date on relevant accounting pronouncements and regulatory changes.
- Supervise and coach a team of consolidation specialists.
- Perform financial statement analysis and present results to members of the Corporate Controller’s Group.
- Perform quarterly analysis over working capital and cash flow movements and present to finance leadership.
- Support business partners in identifying and explaining and/or resolving unusual fluctuations in the consolidated financial reports.
- Coordination with internal and external auditors on internal controls compliance and external audit processes.
- Focus on strengthening processes/use of financial systems and improving analysis/cycle time for monthly consolidation while maintaining appropriate level of internal controls.
- Facilitate integrating any future acquisitions into the company’s global consolidation and financial reporting processes.
- Prepare ad-hoc reports and analysis as required.
Senior Financial Consolidations Manager Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required, Master’s degree preferred.
- CPA or CMA designation preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in financial consolidations, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and SEC regulations.
- Proficient in consolidation software and financial modeling tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience managing and motivating staff.
