Industry: Real Estate / Property Management / Affordable Housing

About the Role
We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Administrative Assistant with property management experience to support recertification and compliance efforts for a premier residential community.

This role goes beyond general administrative support—the ideal candidate has hands-on experience with affordable housing compliance documentation and can help build and maintain accurate recertification files under the property manager's direction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in building, organizing, and maintaining tenant recertification files.

  • Support compliance documentation in line with affordable housing and property management standards.

  • Track recertification deadlines and ensure required documentation is collected on time.

  • Partner closely with the Property Manager to ensure file accuracy and completeness.

  • Greet and assist walk-in visitors, residents, and prospective tenants.

  • Answer, screen, and route incoming phone calls.

  • Serve as a welcoming, professional first point of contact for the property.

  • Organize and maintain both physical and digital filing systems.

  • Perform accurate, timely data entry into management software.

  • Complete internal forms and documentation.

  • Support general office and clerical duties as needed.

  • Respond to and address daily questions and requests from tenants.

  • Direct tenant inquiries to the appropriate staff or department when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Prior property management experience required, specifically with tenant recertification or affordable housing compliance documentation.

  • Familiarity with recertification file requirements (income verification, HUD/LIHTC required forms, documentation deadlines, etc.).

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Comfortable working in a front-facing, high-interaction environment.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required.
