This position will be a hybrid role at their office in Oak Brook, and compensation will be between $50-55/hour for this temporary Accounting Manager role.
Accounting Manager Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee accounting policies, procedures and personnel
- Perform all accounting functions, including recording transactions and journal entries, reconciling asset and liability accounts, manage the month-end close process and financial statement preparation
- Establish capitalization policy and process, record fixed asset additions and deletions, and work with 3rd party CPA firm on depreciation records
- Ensure consistent and accurate GL coding
- Assist in the annual budgeting process and contribute to monthly forecasting activities
- Special projects and additional duties as needed or assigned
Accounting Manager Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field; master's degree a plus
- CPA certification is preferred
- 6+ years of experience, with progressive roles in accounting, 2+ years in a managerial role
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, regulations and financial reporting; tax understanding a plus
- Strong process improvement background with a history of implementing successful process changes
- Exceptional leadership, organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Must be able to work independently and meet tight deadlines
