LaSalle Network is partnering with our client to find an Accountant I to join their team in Skokie, IL. This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to develop their accounting career within a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The role supports day-to-day billing activities, month-end reconciliations, and client invoicing, offering valuable experience working alongside cross-functional teams and offshore partners.
Responsibilities:

Support daily billing activities, including reviewing billing dashboards and notes to prepare invoices.

Perform project cost reconciliation against billing data to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Prepare and process client invoices following established guidelines and procedures.

Review billing documentation for accuracy prior to client distribution.

Assist with analyzing reports and accounts to identify discrepancies and escalate issues.

Support month-end close activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and reporting.

Participate in WIP and unbilled A/R reviews to support billing accuracy and cash flow.

Respond promptly to internal and client billing inquiries.

Maintain billing documentation and contribute to continuous process improvement.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and offshore partners to meet billing deadlines.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.

1+ years of accounting experience in AR, billing, or reconciliations.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Solid written and verbal communication abilities.
-
Intermediate Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.

Exposure to ERP systems like JD Edwards or AS400 is a plus.
