Interim Category Leader – Indirect Procurement
LaSalle Network is partnering with a leading organization in Libertyville to hire an experienced Interim Category Leader – Indirect Procurement. This individual will develop and execute sourcing strategies across assigned indirect spend categories while delivering measurable cost savings, stronger supplier performance and long-term business value.
This role will partner with stakeholders across Operations, Finance, Legal, IT, Human Resources, Facilities and Engineering to lead complex sourcing initiatives from initial strategy through negotiation and contract execution.
What You’ll Do:

Develop and execute multi-year category strategies

Lead RFx events, supplier evaluations and commercial negotiations

Analyze spend, market trends and total cost of ownership

Identify cost savings, supplier consolidation and process improvement opportunities

Negotiate contracts in partnership with Legal and Finance

Establish supplier KPIs and manage ongoing performance
-
Build strong supplier relationships focused on quality, innovation and service

Promote compliance with procurement policies and procure-to-pay processes

Prepare reports and presentations highlighting sourcing performance and results
What We’re Looking For:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Operations or a related field

5+ years of experience in indirect procurement, strategic sourcing or category management
-
Demonstrated experience managing indirect spend within a corporate or manufacturing environment

Strong knowledge of category strategy, strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations and contract management
-
Experience conducting spend analysis, market analysis and total cost of ownership evaluations
-
Strong analytical, negotiation, project management and stakeholder-management skills
