This position offers hybrid flexibility (2 days onsite) in downtown Chicago
Staff Accountant Responsibilities:
- Monitor and record prepaid expenses and accruals within the general ledger
- Perform and maintain accurate balance sheet account reconciliations
- Prepare and post adjusting journal entries as required
- Provide support across General Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable functions
- Gather and analyze financial data to assist in the preparation of reports and statements
- Contribute to the month-end close process and participate in special projects as needed
Staff Accountant Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience within accounting
- Solid understanding of GAAP and core accounting functions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Accounting
- Proven experience preparing and maintaining balance sheet account reconciliations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel
- Experience working within Concur
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred
Compensation: $28-33/hr
